The distributor portal is an application, using which, the distributor office (DO) and the regional office (RO) can access the SAP implementation at the head office. The RO and DO can provide real-time information about sales orders status, delivery schedules, and inventory status to the HO so as to enable intelligent and real-time business decisions. Client: The customer was one of the largest water companies in England and Wales.
Customer NeedThe customer needed a comprehensive integrated solution, where a user-friendly interface was integrated with the key business modules of SAP and with other applications in the enterprise. There was also a business need to re-look at the IT architecture and restructure it, if needed. SAP was the backbone of the enterprise and supported key business processes. Any solution would have to be seamlessly integrated with SAP and would yet have to be transparent to the end-user.
