Vice Chairman & CEO,HCL Technologies
Vineet Nayar is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HCL Technologies, Ltd. (HCLT), the India-based global information technology services company, and author of the book Employees First, Customers Second: Turning Conventional Management Upside Down (Harvard Business Press, June 2010).
Vineet joined HCL in 1985 after earning his MBA from XLRI, one of the leading business management schools in Asia. In 1993, he created the start-up company, Comnet, where he developed and implemented many of the ideas which are core to the Employees First, Customer Second (EFCS) philosophy.
In 2005, he became President of HCL Technologies, where, over the next five years, he led a remarkable turnaround. In 2007 Vineet was designated as the company's CEO and subsequently its Vice Chairman in November 2010. Today, HCLT is one of the Indian IT leaders, recognized globally for its business performance and innovative and transformative management practices.
In 2009, HCLT was named Best Employer in India by Hewitt Associates, and BusinessWeek listed HCLT as one of the five most influential up-and-coming companies in the world. Fortune magazine has characterized HCL under Vineet’s leadership as having “the world’s most modern management,” and IDC recognized him as having “the most cohesive and articulate vision” in the IT services sector.
Vineet is an active member of G100, a group of CEOs of some of the world's most significant companies. He is also one of the founding members of the Asia Gender Parity Group and an active member of the Global Gender Parity Group at the World Economic Forum (WEF). Vineet is also a Governor for the ICT Industry at WEF and a Steering board member of the WEF Global Education Initiative, WEF ICT and Sustainability initiatives and of the Young Global Leaders.

Corporate Vice President, Enterprise Application Services, HCL Technologies
V. Ramakrishna (Ram) is a Corporate Vice President, at HCL Technologies Ltd. He heads the Enterprise Application Services (EAS) business and also is responsible for newly created Enterprise Transformation Services (ETS), which has seen considerable growth since its inception two years ago.
Till recently, Ram was the CEO of HCL - Capital Market Services, an arm of HCL Technologies Limited which was created as a result of the successful acquisition of a Deutsche Bank entity, DSL Software by HCL.
He has a Masters Degree from I.I.T, Kanpur, India's premier technology institute and is a Fellow of IETE.
STEVE CARDELL
President, HCL AXON
Steve Cardell is the President of HCL AXON and runs HCL’s Business Transformation Services practice. Formerly the CEO of Axon solutions having joined the Board in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer, Steve refocused Axon from being a UK-based technical SAP systems implementer to being the foremost global practitioner of outcome based SAP-enabled business transformation – an accomplishment recognized by SAP’s COO, Ernie Gunst, who praised Axon’s engagement with the City of Birmingham as being the ‘Best example of SAP-enabled transformation’ he had witnessed. Under Steve’s leadership, Axon’s bookings trebled, profit increased five fold and the stock rose almost 250%.
As head of HCL’s Business Transformation Services practice, Steve runs a practice spanning the globe with over 7,000 consulting professionals operating out of 26 countries. A central component of the growth strategy within the practice is the recruitment, retention and development of some of the most experienced consultants in the industry – most HCL AXON engagements now boast project teams with consultants averaging over 7 years SAP experience.
Steve was previously Axon's Commercial Director, and prior to that he was a Director of Bywater, the Business Consultancy Axon acquired in 2001. He has worked as an advisor for a wide range of national and international companies, including Orange, BP, Birmingham City Council, Thames Water, Britvic, Pratt & Whitney, Yell, Vodafone, Borealis, Transport for London, the NHS and United Utilities.
He holds business qualifications from Bath and London Business Schools.
